Art Statements
My artwork is a portrait of Gorden Rasmey drawn in black white. Some element principles that are obvious are Value, texture, and lines. The title for this artwork is called a realistic portrait of Gordon Rasmey. I used lined paper and a mechanical pencil for my portrait. Some techniques I used were crosshatch shading and blending a little bit too.
I also mapped out the face to draw it a little bit easier and used a grid in order to draw it more accurately. What inspired me to draw Gorden Rasmey is that I like to watch his shows and I instantly thought of drawing him as my portrait. The main goal for me while drawing this portrait was trying to draw a realistic face because I had never drawn a realistic face before.
I learned many things while drawing the portrait. I learned about crosshatch shading, drawing a realistic eye and adding value in the hair in a drawing. I imagine the final piece to be a little worse than it came out but overall it came better than expected.
Portriat
My cross contour drawing is a drawing of a Telsa roadster. Some art elements that are obvoius is the lines and spacing used for the cross contur desgin. For my artwork I used tradtional lined paper and a black ink pen. The technique I mostly used in my artwork was spacing the lines to make it look darker or lighter and also to make the shape of the car appear. The big idea for my drawing was the fact I like cars and I thought to draw a car for the project.
I had two goals for this drawing. Frist was trying to draw a car best as I can, Because I always have trouble drawing a car. Second was trying to draw better in a cross countor desgin. For the final piece I am happy with it. The frist time I drew a car in cross countor desgin it came out horrible but this time it came out great.
Cross Contour
Watercolor Perisptive
My watercolor perisptive artwork is a painting of city. Some elements I used in the painting is perisptive and shadowing. The media I used were watercolors, paint brushes, and water color paper. What inspired me to paint this city, is because it is a real life city called Monaco. Its a city I would love to vist one day.
The main goal for me was trying to paint with water colors and trying to give perisptive view too. I learned how to paint with water colors and I sort of like my painting but I think it is still good.
Mixed Media
My art work is a mixed media portrait of Henry Ford. The subject matter is trying to create a original piece of art inspired by Michel Keck. If I had to add a title to my art work I would probably called it Mixed Henry. One of the elements and principles I used in my art work is lines to create a pattern on the american flag in the background.
Some media I used is markers, newspaper cutouts, cardboard, pen, and pencil. First I draw the portrait of Henry Ford. Second I added the some cardboard and newspaper cutouts. Third I drew and color the background.
What inspired me to draw Henry Ford is that he made cars affordable and he changed the automotive industry. The main goal of the art work is to create a original piece of art inspired by Michel Keck. I think the my art piece is really close to Michel Keck style so I did reached the goal.
Two things I learned was the mixed media art style and the artist Michel Keck. For my final piece it came out exactly on how I imagined it. I am really happy with it and I think this would influence future art pieces. Its because using different media in the same art piece can give many textures and gives variety to an art piece.
Master Style
My artwork is a cubism art style of a mediterranean town right beside the sea. If I had a title for my art work I would probaly call it "Living by the Sea". The biggest element in my art is the lines and shapes used in my art work. I used 9in x 12in sheet of paper , pencil, and color pencils.
First I drew the shapes and making the houses. Next I color the parts I needed to. Then I drew the shape pattern. Pablo piccaso art style inspired me to draw my art work in cubism. The main goal is to try to create a orginal art piece in cubism art style.
I learned that pablo picasso created cubism art style and I learned how to create a art piece in cubism art style. My final piece came out how I imgaine it. I think in the future I would try to create a art piece in cubism art style.
My artwork is a drawing of Gorden Ramsey in a cartoon style, specifically in simpsions style. The most obvoius elements and princples are color, space, proportion, and space. The media I used were notebook paper, sharpie fine point pen, and color pencils. The procedure I did was frist I drew the person realistic sort of and then I added the simpsion characteritics on to it.
Ramseys shows are my fravorite to wacth and I thought to draw him for my transformation drawing. The main goal was to try to make realstic person into a cartoonish stlye. One thing I learned was how to draw in Simpsions style. The final piece came out the way I imagined it. I don't think this will influence any of my future pieces becasue this isnt my style of drawing, but I still like my final piece.
Transformation
Cut Paper Piece
My artwork is a layered cut out piece of paper. Its a city with a boat in the very front and kindy hanging out. The subject matter is the city landscape. One element that is obvouis is form for principle would be balance. The media that my artwork is made from large blank white paper. The tools I used were sisscors, exacto knife, and a pencil.
The frist thing I did was to draw the city and other things I needed to draw out. Next I started to cut out the city and then boat. Thrid I cut out the houses bushes and the little paper flaps in order to make the next layer. Fourth I draw details on the buildings. Finally I added the paper flaps to make it the next layer.
What inspired me to make a cut out of a city is because I love to make city landscapes in drawings or paintings. I just like to make a city landscape in any way possible. My artwork does not express any soical or personal issue. My artwork does not show any emotion ethier.
The main goal was to create a original cut paper piece of a city. The final result of my art peice did help me to reach the main goal of this project. One thing I learned was, how to make a art piece look 3D. The final piece did came out how I imagined it. I did and use everything I got, like the media I had and I then over time I created the final art piece just like how I imagined it.
Justin Bua
My artwork looks like a portrait of Carroll Shelby in Justin Bua art style. The subject matter is trying to emulate Justin Bua art style but also trying to create a orginal piece. Some elements that are obvoius are color and form and for principles, contrast is like the most obvoius in my artwork.
The media I used in my artwork is regular notebook paper, pencil, and coloring pencils. The process I had to do was frist I drew the person semi realistic. Second, I started to add the exaggeration features like, a big nose and big ears. Finally I added the color on to the drawing.
What inspired me to draw my artwork is that we had to create a original piece inspired by Justin Bua art style. The person in my drawing is Carroll Shelby and the reason why I chose him to draw is because I like some of his cars he created back then. There were no personal or soical issue I tried to show in my drawing.
The main goal of this project was to try to emulate the art style of Justin Bua while trying to create a orginal art piece. This piece did help me reach the main goal, because I tried my best to emulate the art style but also trying to make my own piece. The main thing I learned was about Justin Bua and his own art style. The final art piece didn't came out the way I really wanted to.
When I was drawing I didn't want to add alot of exaggeration because I felt that it would ruined his facial features and maybe make him unrecognizable. In the future this wouldn't affect any of my future art pieces I well make in the future.
